To live requires energy. All of life requires the proper flow of energy and blood to carry out actions, deliver nutrients, and eliminate wastes. According to Taoist philosophy, physical health is a state of free flowing energy and blood throughout the body. When circulation is blocked by injury, strain, stress, or poor habits then organ functions begin to decline and if the body is unable to self-regulate and repair itself, organ systems become diseased.

Acupuncture is the ancient medical art of gently freeing blockages of energy and blood and thus allowing the body to heal itself. Acupuncture points are special points on the skin that can be stimulated and result in altering the flow of energy and blood within the body. In modern scientific studies the stimulation of points have been shown to encourage the self-regulation of several body functions, including blood pressure, temperature, digestive function, nervous function, muscle function, and mental-emotional function.

Dr. SuHu is first and foremost a family care doctor. He has repeatedly seen how individuals and families can truly help themselves with minimal medical intervention and mostly through health education and positive encouragement. Change takes time and watching how an individual and family blossom together over time brings Dr. SuHu the greatest joy.

Dr. SuHu honors the presence of a client and approaches the therapeutic relationship with the highest sanctity. He avoids all moral judgements and views every individual as an equal human being. Everyone has a talent and calling in life, and there is not one better than the other. He sees himself as a friend, with a particular talent and calling. Thus, he likes to think of himself as a therapeutic friend.

Dr. SuHu is known for his empathetic presence and honesty. Through his own experience with healing physical and emotional pains and the wisdom imparted to him through his clients, he has been able to show people how to successfully embrace their own journeys and overcome pain and suffering.
