H. Ramirez‘s interest in art began after watching his father paint; his boyhood curiosities soon turned into a devoted love of art. There is a special quality that is captured by Ramirez; it is not just his subjects, it is the joyful, enthusiastic manner in which he captures them. Ranging from vibrant landscapes and powerful natural phenomena to introspective portraits, much of Ramirez’s subject matter comes from his interest in travel and his experiences while doing so. “To me painting is like a dream that may appear at night or may flow in at any time of day.” He says, “That feeling is what makes the form, the colors and the theme appear out of nowhere.” While practicing holistic medicine, Ramirez has steadily continued to develop his art and has studied under the direction of several well known Mexican artists. Since his first exhibitions in 2003, his potent art, both in his native Mexico and in the United States, has been well received.
