H. Ramirez‘s interest in art began after watching his father paint; his boyhood curiosities soon turned into a devoted love of art. There is a special quality that is captured by Ramirez; it is not just his subjects, it is the joyful, enthusiastic manner in which he captures them. Ranging from vibrant landscapes and powerful natural phenomena to introspective portraits, much of Ramirez’s subject matter comes from his interest in travel and his experiences while doing so. “To me painting is like a dream that may appear at night or may flow in at any time of day.” He says, “That feeling is what makes the form, the colors and the theme appear out of nowhere.” While practicing holistic medicine, Ramirez has steadily continued to develop his art and has studied under the direction of several well known Mexican artists. Since his first exhibitions in 2003, his potent art, both in his native Mexico and in the United States, has been well received.

I highly reccomend these two films “Before Sunrise” and “Before Sunset,” starring Ethan Hawke and Julie Deply. The characters explore subjects such as “the moment,” time, fate, love, spirituality, and the universe. These films definitely make you think and are quite romantic with beautiful ambient soundtracks. Let me know if your a fan or if you happened to rent them.

I have found it to be incredibly healing to watch children’s movies. Some of my favorite are The Little Mermaid, Cinderella, and Sleeping Beauty. Not only do these films bring me back to a less stressful time period in my life, the remind me how important it is to dream.

These films also display the beauty and symphony of nature. The animals talk, sing, dance, and play and interact with the human world (and world of the merpeople). This reminds me of the connection between all life on the planet.

Does anyone else enjoy these types of films?

One of my favorite ways to relax is to lie comfortably on my back, allow my energy to flow, and listen to healing music. I have found that Dean Evenson’s Healing Waters album can be quite soothing. Does anyone have any other suggestions of healing music for meditation and relaxation?
